Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), has given us much information including hardware and pricing information of Galaxy Fold 2 in a series of tweets.

According to him, the Galaxy Fold 2 will have a triple camera setup consisting of 64MP main shooter along with a 12MP ultrawide camera and 12MP telephoto lens. The leak also reveals that the smartphone might offer dual-optical stabilization.  As for the 64MP sensor, it would allow the Galaxy Fold 2 to offer hybrid zoom as well as record 8K videos like the Galaxy S20 series.

As per Ross, Fold 2 will be priced between $1,780 and $1,980. This is because Samsung is looking to boost volumes. The speculation suggests that the device will be priced $100 less than the last year’s device. Although it has more features including a bigger front display, higher resolution, S-Pen, as well as 5G.

According to Ross, the Galaxy Fold 2 will be launching alongside the Galaxy Note series, and if we are to follow the past release dates of the Note series, we can speculate it happening sometime in August, later this year. With shipments starting in September. Stay tuned for the future leak about Samsung Galaxy Fold 2.
