Xiaomi Mi TV Stick Launched Globally With FHD Streaming Support

After many leaks and teaser Xiaomi has finally launched Mi TV Stick in Global Ecosystem Product Launch event. Mi TV stick is similar to Amazon Fire TV Stick. Both have similar thumb drive form factor and nearly the same capabilities. This  Android TV-based streaming dongle connects to a television via an HDMI port. 

Mi TV Stick Features

Mi TV Stick is powered by a quad-core Cortex-A53 processor clocked at up to 2.0GHz, an ARM Mali-450 GPU along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage. It runs the Android TV operating system and it doesn’t have any Mi TV Patch Wall on top of it. Mi TV Stick features Dolby and DTS powered surround sound support. It comes with a Bluetooth 4.2 enabled remote controller. The remote has dedicated buttons for Google Assistant, Netflix, and Prime Video.

You can use voice command to control it by summoning Google Assistant by pressing the dedicated Google Assistant button on the remote. Mi TV Stick is Full-HD (1080P) at 60 fps video streaming capable. Mi TV Stick can stream movies and shows from Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney Hotstar+, and more and it comes with pre-installed Netflix and Amazon Prime app. It also has a built-in Chromecast. So users can directly screen photos, videos, and more from their Android smartphone to the TV screen. 

Pricing and Availability

The Mi TV Stick global price starts at EUR 39.99 (roughly Rs. 3,400) for the single 1080p variant.  The availability details are yet to be known.
