Just after the release of Spotify in India, a new player is in the town. Youtube launched its premium services ie. Youtube Music, Youtube Originals, and Youtube Premium in India. These newly introduced YouTube services will be tackling a host of competing for streaming platforms in India, including Amazon Music, Apple Music, Jio Saavn, Gaana, and Spotify.
YouTube Music Premium:
According to the Nielsen report in 2018, youtube is the top source for India’s streaming music. You can make Youtube Music App highly personalized. You can choose from song language to your favorite Singers. You can also watch video if needed. Youtube Music is available both as a standalone mobile app and a Web-based desktop interface that is designed for music streaming.
Youtube two version of Youtube Music one is free, ad-based and other is paid, ad-free. YouTube Music Premium subscription has been priced at Rs. 99 a month. You can download and play music in background in premium one. If you are already a Google Music Premium user then you will be automatically upgraded to the Youtube Music Premium for free of cost. Youtube is also giving a three month free trial for those who have never used or tried YouTube or Google’s music streaming services.
YouTube Originals and YouTube Originals:
YouTube has also brought its premium service with original content to India. Earlier called YouTube Red, this service offers ad-free playback and access to YouTube’s cache or original shows and movies. But at this moment there is nothing specials for Indians. If you like only Indian shows then you should wait to see if YouTube put money for Indian show.
YouTube Premium costs Rs 129 per month along with free access to YouTube Music Premium and YouTube Originals. The subscription will offer an ad-free experience with background play and offline downloads for millions of videos on YouTube.
